Sunday after driving from her North Hollywood home.
She took off from the home of her daughter’s father and flew about 30 feet (9 meters) from the house, landing in the backyard, she said.
Peter O’Brien said he was able, “I just wanted to let them know how proud I am that they could be home and I was there.”
O’Briens husband, Mike O’Donnell, had been planning to visit his mother in the Philippines this week.
The couple have a two-year-old daughter together.
